YO PIANO
STAGE WORK
YO, PIANO takes the solo piano concert one step further into the realm of staged performance. It creates a framework where the already vast expressive possibilities of music are expanded through scenic experimentation, generating a sonic and visual journey toward something essential and elemental.
The project explores the relationship between performer and sound through the interconnected triad of body–instrument–space, presenting the piano as a physically transformable sound object and music as a powerful emotional connector.

“An extraordinarily refined hybrid of artistic languages, bringing together music, performance, and video art, with truly spectacular scenography and lighting design.”
— Luis Lles, Diario del Alto Aragón
Created by pianist and composer Carlos Bianchini, alongside stage director and musician Tagore González and scenographer Isis de Coura, the performance is built around Bianchini’s original compositions, which form the artistic core of the concert.
Inspired by personal experience and descriptive in nature, this music enters into dialogue with more experimental sound moments throughout the piece. Electroacoustic explorations—through the manipulation of objects, the piano’s own physical body, and live electronic sound interventions—add new layers to the pianistic material, creating bridges between the different scenic worlds of the performance.
