ABOUT

LIFE & MUSIC

“Music is sound and energy that brings order to chaos: an ephemeral art capable of generating a powerful effect that is greater than oneself”.

Carlos Bianchini's multifaceted career is testimony to his deep-rooted belief in the power of music for humanity, for there can be no society without music. Whether it is through the process of composing new works, collaborating in original educational projects or participating in new musical formations, Carlos strives to foster connections that stimulate the imagination and strengthen our qualities as human beings.

He creates programs that go beyond the limits of genre and tradition to explore musical creation as a means not only to share and express meaning, but also as a model for the cultural collaboration that he considers essential for a strong society. Whether in his solo recitals or in his music creation laboratories, or in programs designed for young people or in his experimental stage performances, the Barcelona musician fosters closer contact and engagement with music among the general public by breaking down the barriers between artist and audience.

A Barcelona native, and with a solid grounding in the classics and jazz, Carlos Bianchini has traveled through numerous countries of Europe and Latin America, in addition to the United States, taking part in a wide variety of projects in both the world of music and the performing arts, not only as a creator, but also as a producer. This has given him, both personally and creatively, a global experience that is also quite individual, of understanding this form of artistic expression we call music.

As a composer, he reveals in each of his works the special signs and signals of his academic training, in addition to the influences of great Romantics and Impressionists. We would highlight his blending of folk and jazz, with his predominant language shaped by a personal style of composition that is expressive and minimalistic, resounding and passionate.
