Carlos Bianchini took part this weekend in the International Dance Gala hosted by aFACT Cultural, one of the most anticipated events of the 42nd BBVA Dance Season.
The evening brought together principal dancers from world-renowned companies such as the Bolshoi Theatre, Staatsballett Berlin, and the English National Ballet, creating an exceptional celebration of classical and contemporary dance.
A special focus was placed on the work of Jean-Philippe Dury, artistic director of Elephant in the Black Box and former member of the Paris Opera Ballet, Monte Carlo Ballet, and the CND. Three of his contemporary creations were presented: Left Lovers, The Object, and Cel Black Days.
Carlos Bianchini performed live piano on stage in The Object, one of the most visually striking moments of the gala. In this powerful choreography, Dury gradually covers a grand piano with metallic, crackling paper while the pianist continues playing — an intense сценic dialogue between movement, sound, and theatrical imagery.
This collaboration highlighted Bianchini’s ongoing work at the intersection of live music, performance, and multidisciplinary stage creation.
