THE TAILOR OF TIME

SYNOPSIS
CARLOS BIANCHINI PRESENTS THE TAILOR OF TIME
An innovative stage adaptation of the story by writer Núria Serra
Musician and composer Carlos Bianchini brings to the stage his new project, The Tailor of Time, a theatrical adaptation of the story written by Núria Serra. This production, co-produced with Mercat de Música Viva de Vic, premiered at Teatre R. Montanyà – L’Atlàntida in Vic on September 21, as part of the festival.
A fusion of literature, music, and technology
The Tailor of Time is more than a simple stage adaptation; it is a total immersion in a live workshop of sound creation. Bianchini uses electronic music and electroacoustic processing to transform the words and emotions of the story into a dynamic, enveloping soundscape. Each sound is carefully selected, processed, and inserted in real time—much like a tailor meticulously working with fabrics to craft a unique garment.
Standout performances
On stage, alongside composer Carlos Bianchini, is Barcelona-based actor Arnau Lobo, who performs songs written especially for the show, adding depth and emotion to the experience. The voice of renowned actor Jordi Boixaderas gives life to the character of Time, providing a unique narrative dimension. The stage direction is by Mai Rojas and Raffaella Crapio (Los Escultores del Aire), who contribute their artistic vision and expertise in creating poetic scenic environments.
Aimed at today’s youth
This production is designed to capture the attention and imagination of contemporary teenagers. The Tailor of Time invites the audience to reflect on the use of time, raising questions about how it is managed and how it impacts our lives. Its narrative aims to create a profound connection with young audiences, offering a modern take on the literary theme of Carpe Diem.
